Vincent Emonet is a Data Science developer at the Institute of Data Science at Maastricht University, and has been working on knowledge graphs and a more data-oriented web for a few years.
Vincent will be presenting the technological changes the web has undergone since its creation, and the societal implications they brought. From the first documents shared, to today’s massive graphs holding an unprecedented amount of data about anything.

Alexander Malic is establishing a collaborative infrastructure for Research and Education at UM. This platform will make the use of open source easier and reproducible.
Alex will talk about the history and challenges open source faces and its implications in everybody’s daily life. Come and share his enthusiasm for open source and join in for the discussion.
