How much of our experience of the world is a direct reflection of reality? To what extent do our brains fill in the details and construct the world we perceive? What makes humans as a species so curious to know more about ourselves and our environment?
This evening two scientists from the Donders Institute will tell you more about these fascinating topics. Dr. Ashley Lewis will talk about top-down influences in the brain and how they affect what you see, hear, and read. Dr. Alexandra Vlassova is going to dive into the curious brain and its role in driving you to learn new information.
